The Customer Experience: Appreciation and Lead Generation Events

The Customer Experience: Appreciation and Lead Generation Events

Innovative ways to connect to top customers and bring in new leads is always top of mind in business. Out of this was born our “The Customer Experience” event package which helps businesses of all sizes create effective ROI on through one of three possible events:

  • customer appreciation events (saying thank you to your top tier customers)
  • lead generation events (inviting leads in who you are interested in working with)
  • employee appreciation events (saying thank you to your amazing team members for the holiday season)

How does it work?

We work with you to develop a custom photography event which reflects your brand, your audience and your style. Leads for a 30 spot event average $35 per spot (based on a 30 spot event) and create the following for your business (depending on the event you choose):

  • Customer Appreciation Event
    • Allow you to engage and reconnect with top tier customers.
    • Provide your customers with a quality photography experience and a 5×7 print of the image.
    • Provide you with a second point of contact when sending them an email including a social media version of their image to share online.
  • Lead Generation Event
    • Allow you to engage and reconnect with key leads you wish to work with your business.
    • Provide your leads with a quality photography experience and a 5×7 print of the image.
    • Provide you with a second point of contact when sending them an email including a social media version of their image to share online.
  • Employee Appreciation Event
    • Allow you to engage and reconnect with employees/families in a fun, brand based environment.
    • Provide your employees with a quality photography experience and a 5×7 print of the image captured (customer appreciation events).
    • Provide you with a social media version of their image to share online.

What kind of images would we create?

We create one image per spot in a one day event. Customers, leads or employees all have unique identifying qualities that we help you determine to provide the best end result. For example, singles oryoung couples are not looking for the same thing as families – so we will work with you to ensure your brand, target audience and end product are all in alignment.

If you are interested in how this experience could work for your business?

Email us for more information and to set up a time to meet to discuss how this experience can be added to your 2017-2018 business initiatives.

The Christmas Experience – White Box Seasonal

The Christmas Experience – White Box Seasonal

Trinity-Design-Snow-balls-white-boxIt’s that time of year again, time for your family to grab a spot in The Christmas Experience. We are offering the White box sessions with a Christmas theme this year (non Christmas themes are not permitted at this event) and YES this is a family friendly event (note our Christmas bed series coming next is KIDS ONLY).

Q: How does it work?

This is one single, large white box that we shoot and stitch together into a collage using Kirsten’s skills as a photoshop editor and storyteller. Sessions can be planned to have boxes interact with each other, various collages made from one single session and interactive content created (for example the 3D snowball effect shown above.

COMING SOON: Getting on TOP of the box is in the works. Tests coming soon.

To book visit our Facebook Event or connect via email for dates/times available.

Q: How do we prepare?

Kirsten will send you a comprehensive preparation document for this event. Unlike regular environments the white box loves bright colours so coming in all black is not as effective as using colour to your advantage.

Handy hint: If dressing the kids in the same style PJs differentiate them with different styled slippers, cosy socks, head bands and more. This makes knowing WHO is WHO a little easier and gives the composition more OOOMPH.

To book visit our Facebook Event or connect via email for dates/times available.

White-Box-Large-Collage

Q: After the photos are taken what happens next?

We create a collage for you and invite you in to “tweak” the collage and pick your “solo faves” in the studio. The “reveal the experience” session is designed to get time sensitive decisions made at a very busy time of year for the studio.

At this session you are also invited to purchase from our large range of products which we ALSO will have on display for you to touch and feel at the session. Deadlines for Christmas delivery are tight so orders are made to ensure you have your products in time for your holiday celebrations.

To book visit our Facebook Event or connect via email for dates/times available.

Q: What kind of products are recommended for The Christmas Experience – White Box Seasonal?

White box sessions need to be printed at at least 16×20 to ensure the faces are visible so this is our minimum size recommendation for printing the sessions on mediums such as archival prints ($99+HST), flush-mounts ($239+HST) and canvas ($359+HST).

We also recommend our Accordion 3×3 books (which come in sets of three of the same design) as their square shape lends a fun way to showcase the “solo” shots from your session. Each comes with a translucent cover and are magnetically closed for safe keeping in your purse or bag; they can also live on the fridge.

We also have a great 4×4 cube product (6 sides) which we love for showcasing the solos in a really creative product ($199+HST).

To book visit our Facebook Event or connect via email for dates/times available.

We cannot wait to capture the experience for you this year.

You say it’s your birthday!

You say it’s your birthday!

We had a a blast covering this event and could not wait to share some images from the event. The look we used here was cinematic black and white but images are delivered in full colour (a little fun for this thespian couple) and set to a signature tune we use for many of our videos.

Videos along with a wide variety of story capturing media can be purchased with event sessions. For this couple we are creating a storyteller book to ensure they are enjoying the experience for years to come with family and friends.

Hy Hope Farm Orchard Test Session

Hy Hope Farm Orchard Test Session

We popped over to the orchard to check on the blossoms, orchard locations and capture some tests for the upcoming The Blossom Experience. The larger blossom trees have fallen but the whole orchard is in now in bloom so got some great captures of the two varieties showing off their blossoms.

There are still two spots open for this event – which is one of the few outside seasonals we host.

This location can be booked for family photos at any point in the year with advance notice to the wonderful owners of Hy Hope Farm & Golf Course. You must stop in after your session to enjoy the festival of blossoms on site with music, great homemade goods in the store and an artisan tent.

Capture the Adults.

Capture the Adults.

Capture the Adults.

A longtime client joked with me this year that I should use the hashtag #capturetheparents as the White Box was getting moms, dads and grandparents in front of my camera in record numbers. She was so right in that statement I started using this sentiment but changed it to include all adults – #capturetheeadults –  when walking clients through the options for experiences and encouraging them to be IN them, not just photographing their children.

While women have a bad rap for not wanting to be photographed it is in my experience that many parents, grandparents and adults often duck out of the images thinking – next year I will lose some weight, next year I will have my hair done, next year I will fit into a dress or pants I love – next year I will get in the frame. The problem is next year turns into a decade and all those years of you have been missed from your story.

In my first session by another professional after kids I was 40 lbs heavier than I was before kids. Before kids I was an Ontario Women’s Soccer League provincial goalie, I played soccer 3-4 a week between training and games. The expectation that I would ever return to that lifestyle had faded with three children and a lower back diagnosed with degenerative disc disease. Life had changed, I love my boys and my life, so what was I waiting for. I am not the same person I was pre-kids but I think I looked pretty amazing nonetheless – despite my own concerns (yes I have them, too) – and since then we have captured several images of me at various weights, hair styles and I love them all.

The session I am sharing with you today is one of the client families which inspires me to capture my own experience with a professional every year. This couple are almost always in the sessions with their kids – through pregnancies and after them – they are so much fun to work with. Mom is so beautiful she literally makes the camera sing every time we work together, Dad rocks every single thing I ask him to try and the kids who have both known my lens for years now are as close to professionals as they come.

This family inspires me to get in front of the lens over and over again, to be part of the story we are capturing for our walls, for our family and for our children. Thanks guys for the inspiration of being in my own story.

Take the time to tell your family story with us this spring, summer and fall.  Take the step to be IN THE FRAME with your kids and leave your own image in these stories.

The Art of the Family Experience.

The Art of the Family Experience.

Capture the experience.

A common question or statement I am given is “How do you work with kids?” and “I could never do your job.”

Having just done a 2016 session with my extended family I know how out of control it feels to be in photos with your kids. With kids who seem to have forgotten every simple and basic thing you said, taught them and know for a 1-2 hour period in one general consensus. I promise you this is a common feeling no matter the gender, composition or type of family you are blessed to be a part of. Everyone has a good dose of “what the heck” when it comes to family photos and their kids – but as photographer I do not.

Family-Experience-Trinity-Design

So why does the chaos of your kids, your family and the chaos not stress me out as your photographer?

  • They are not my kids.
    • It is much easier as a third party to capture the experience as I am not their mom or dad.
  • Kids are real – what you see is what you get –  often without the filters we add as adults.
    • This adds up to amazing photos with true emotions.
  • I love kids.
    • Since kids know someone who is afraid a mile away I have the upper hand – I want to work with them and they sense this.
  • A child respects someone who gets down to their level.
    • I have a troublesome back for a reason, I will drop to the ground to capture the experience of a smaller human – after all their point of view is part of the story we are telling.
  • As a photographer I see things others do not.
    • I chase light, form and emotion in all my work.
  • A family and it’s kids are the story and as an avid storyteller the chaos, the emotion and the people are the story.

One of the most true statements I have heard from a client was this which was a review after a Christmas session at her home: “Just had the girls Christmas pictures taken by Kris in our home. The girls weren’t quite in the Christmas spirit – lots of tears. My hubby was upset that we wasted money since they weren’t co-operating …. until he saw the pictures. They are BEAUTIFUL!” – A Inglis.
