A Visual Storyteller.

Each experience session created by Trinity Design is an opportunity for owner Kirsten McGoey to tell a story. Each portrait, head shot, social media campaign and editorial piece is crafted with a unique eye for light, colour and composition. The vision Trinity Design has always been to provide quality photography services for clients by ‘capturing the experience’ in each session.

A graduate of Queen’s University with a BA in Art History/Psychology and a graduate of OCAD with a diploma in Industrial Design (A.O.C.A.D.), Kirsten focused her internships on the marketing of products. After a decade working in Interactive Marketing for firms such as MacLaren McCann, Cossette and Grey she took the entrepreneurial plunge and never looked back. Kirsten has taught in a graduate program at Centennial College and has experience also working in the School of Media and Design at Durham College as a Part Time Professor. Her speciality was teaching students how to use photographic gear and social media to improve their business acumen. She is now working on bringing more photographic education to Whitby and Durham in her own studio.

Kirsten recently spoke about her personal photography project #aboycantoo at the Professional Photographers of Canada – Ontario Branch on how to successfully develop personal projects with an international voice. Her work has been published in The Huffington Post, The Washington Post, Upworthy, Parents.com, soon the Globe and Mail and more.

In 2016 Trinity Design was awarded the Platinum Reader’s Choice award for Oshawa-Whitby in the category of photographers.

Kirsten runs the photography studio out of her Whitby home in Olde Whitby in the West Lynde area of Whitby near Dundas and Cochrane. Her basement studio is spacious with areas to relax, capture the experience and order products from your experience. The studio provides a great space for parents to relax or work (Mom can answer a business call, Dad change a diaper, or simply chill out) while Kirsten (and her team) captures your experience.

Founded in 2012 Trinity Design focuses on three main areas:

– Portrait Photography (maternity, child, family, extended family)
– Corporate Photography (head shots, social media campaigns, corporate group photos and events)
– Editorial Photography (lifestyle and business magazines)

In the year to come everyone at Trinity Design is looking forward to telling the story by capturing YOUR experience.
