Event Coverage: Whitby Santa Claus Parade

Event Coverage: Whitby Santa Claus Parade

Not only did I have the honour of capturing event photography of the Whitby Santa Claus parade this year, I also redesigned the Santa Claus parade float with my fellow members of the Rotary Club of Whitby. We crafted an overall redesign of the float and added in some key elements to bring it all together, including large lollipops, fur collars for the reindeer and popcorn strings to name but a few of the extras we wove into the already amazing original float.

I have long been a fan of Santa Claus parades and attended my hometown parade in Bowmanville with my parents and my own kids long after we moved to Whitby. The small town parade was always my choice over the city parade and it always will be. The magic is tangible, as I walked along the float kids eyes just light up when they see Santa Claus and Mrs Claus.

If you need coverage of your parade sign me up. I love the marching bands, the dance companies, the flag twirlers, the bagpipes and the clown cars. The stories of bright faces on the young and the old alike. The belief in Santa Claus is palpable – eyes alight and smiles grow on everyone. Kids gasp and wave, knowing Santa saw them and wished them all a Very Merry Christmas.

Dentists-Birch Dental

Our briefing from Birch Dental was to create natural light images that were in tune with the overall brand and office design which promotes a clean, minimal, peaceful vibe. “Branding is the process of creating a distinct identity for a business in the minds of your target audience and the general population.” (quote: Shopify Blog) Knowing your brand intent from the start creates a seamless experience for the client no matter which touch point you enter from or what media experience they have.

The office is a modern space with wood details, soft grey walls and modern black accent walls in metal and glass. While being treated custom videos of sea life float past, showing a turtle exploring a reef across the ocean floor.

The office is located in North Whitby, Ontario and open extended hours to accommodate your busy schedule.

Creating content for your business does not have to happen all at once and we would love to help you start the process. We have several packages that will allow you to create content that aligns with your brand (not our own).

 In Flanders Fields
In Flanders Fields, the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie,
                              In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
                                In Flanders fields.

The Business of Connecting to Life

The Business of Connecting to Life

Last summer we created some new content for local Brooklin chiropractor Dr. du Quensay. Her clinic is located at 134 Baldwin St. N. with ample parking in site for patients.

Our initial consultation we discussed what her business content would be used for. In her case a website was being recreated and she had very specific visions for how and what content she wanted to see in the new site.

We knew we wanted to feature the clinic from the street so patients who are new to the practice could find the building from the road. In addition, to show the gardens near the parking area which ties into the overall brand.

Not to be left out Dr. du Quensay’s story are her two dogs who she and her husband walk throughout the downtown every day. We found some time during the session to walk downtown and capture them on a local bench.

We had such a great time working with Dr. du Quensay and her team. To see more see our video on Tik Tok from our backyard shoot : https://www.tiktok.com/@trinitydesign/video/7112121440387878150

Pace Technical – Team Update

Pace Technical – Team Update

After a long pause due to the pandemic we got to return to PACE Technical. They have a new office, lots of new amazing staff and ownership and were prepping for a website refresh. Joining the team we created content for the advertising agency to use in the new reactive website design which just launched this week.

Each headshot created was provided as a .tif file as well as a 5×5 for social media using a background provided by the agency. Team members were asked to wear PACE wear or professional wear, making a mix of looks that all work well together. For team members who didn’t want to be online we noted this in their files when handing them off, they will be used in the internal systems only.

Are you looking to refresh your team? We work with small, medium and large sized businesses in the Greater Toronto Area to ensure a fast, painless experience. Not having to “choose” after the session makes a faster experience for administration and a more connected portrait for your staff.
