Last summer we created some new content for local Brooklin chiropractor Dr. du Quensay. Her clinic is located at 134 Baldwin St. N. with ample parking in site for patients.
Our initial consultation we discussed what her business content would be used for. In her case a website was being recreated and she had very specific visions for how and what content she wanted to see in the new site.
We knew we wanted to feature the clinic from the street so patients who are new to the practice could find the building from the road. In addition, to show the gardens near the parking area which ties into the overall brand.
Not to be left out Dr. du Quensay’s story are her two dogs who she and her husband walk throughout the downtown every day. We found some time during the session to walk downtown and capture them on a local bench.

A business brand is one of your most valuable tools. It is also okay to not have been born with the ability to write copy, take photos and film video. The most professional approach is to bring in the professionals who can help you build a brand that tells your story.
That is just what this amazing business owner did when she hired us. She worked with a business coach to redesign her business, website and after researching she decided to connect with us to do her photos.
Clients spend time telling us what they need so we can provide the package that fits their needs and budget. We do a walk through to determine the best way to capture the images that line up with their brand.
Images can be functional – like showing the room you work in or the front of the building (if applicable). Melissa has a warm and welcoming massage room with black out curtains, a soft teal paint on the wall and a warm wood floor. A photo conveys this quickly so your client knows how it will feel in the space, exception the lights would be dimmed here.
Images can show you at work, we captured many images of Melissa doing her craft (fully lit for storytelling purposes). Her services range from massage services, mobile massages, Craniosacral therapy, Integrative manual therapy and infant massage.
We also picked a few of the tools she uses and sells to allow her to showcase them in social media posts that will drive back to her website. The images are in the same shoot and feel connected to the overall branding.

This fall we worked with the team at Invest Durham to capture team images that captured their team. This team is growing in size and in turn growing they are growing opportunities in the Durham Region. “The priority of the Economic Development and Tourism Division of the Region of Durham (Invest Durham) is to lead, facilitate and support various investment attraction and expansion initiatives. Our goal is to create and retain jobs, increase non-residential assessment and promote the region as the best place to live, work and invest.”
The brief was to create professional images that were consistent, natural (no makeup artists) and utilized the onsite location to the fullest. The location had an older property barn that was painted this soft blue and it tied nicely into the overall branding which is navy and deep orange. We shot the team using open shade and natural light to create a soft, approachable feeling for the images and the barn boards tie in the solo and overall team shot.
These team shots were captured on a gorgeous property in open shade. The blue barn boards give a uniform backdrop for this dynamic team and the sunny day provided ample lighting.
In order to ensure a smooth experience I walked the site during the same time of day. We chose some options for the images and then had the client decide on which one worked best. Then we set up two options for the use of that spot and they chose this one which softened the wood behind the subject.
The team shot and 14 staff took the morning to capture. We had each team member approve their image on site so that we could speed up the editing process on our end. Everything was wrapped by noon and the team could spend some time face to face outside.

We are delighted to be back working with long time clients as they launch a new website. A strong team in the mortgage industry you can now find their expertise at https://www.laframboisemortgage.ca/.
For each member we created headshots that will support them across social media platforms. Our clients are actively involved in creating images and we take suggestions you offer while shooting. The images for both Denise and Nicolee were part of Denise’s vision for the session making this a true collaboration of business and creativity.
The brick wall behind Charlotte and Syeda is in their office which is in the new building across from Brooklin’s Grass Park. Their stylish space is a wonderful place to sit and work out a new mortgage. We have had the pleasure of working with the team and can say they are all skilled
Using our Team Business package this team created a team photo alongside team headshots and a few additional images for social media to showcase the office. We are not sharing the entire shoot here because they are going to be using them in their own channels.
We have different levels of team business content for small, medium and large businesses that are developed to ensure the brand of the company is reflected in the final product. We offer natural light, studio and off camera flash lighting options that allow you to realize your brand images in a professional, high end way.

Kristine Dandavino is a teacher, an actor and a talented opera voice. She mentors and coaches local talent with her business Oshawa Piano and Voice http://www.oshawapianovoice.com/. When they say those who can’t teach they did not include the likes of a talent such as Kristine.
When she connected to update her headshots we discussed how she would use the images to audition and for social media usage. Acting has very specific needs and over top of that the opera world has it’s own. We crafted her poses and outfits to ensure her looks dovetailed with the types of roles she auditions for, a key component of an actor’s headshot.
Kristine had her makeup done by makeup artist The Many Faces of Beauty’s Stephanie Koktan. We kept our editing in keeping with the industry, maintaining major features so casting directors see the true version of the actor if present in our lighting of the face.
By pairing a tank top with a simple necklace and vegan leather jacket we get a timeless look for this headshot. The key to this shot is the position of the body which welcomes in the viewer to the actor’s portrait.
We finished up the session with a sensational image of Kristine wrapped in raw silk. Shot from a high angle this image is a nod to the Girl with a Pearl Earring. We amped up the volume as Kristine is a joy bringer, a room filler and she needed a portrait that spoke to the voice and beauty inside her. As they say on Tik Tok – I understood the assignment.
